Hi all,
I have had the problem when travelling at speed the wind coming in through the sunroof so i investigated the problem.
I exstened the sunroof fully open where the tourque srews are now visible when overlapping the rear sunroof, i took both screws out and the 2 brackets that are attached are connected with rubber runners to run along the runners underneath, i removed them both and they were badly worn making them loose inside causing room for the to move aboout, replace the from going to a dearler...Problem solved

Re: Panaramic sunroof
I have to agree.
The rattle and wind ingress from my sunroof has been driving me crazy so I undid both screws and took a look at the sliders. The rubber pads on both sides where badly worn and not giving a tight fit which leads to my irritating problem of rattles and wind noise.
Does anyone know the part numbers for the rubber pads or does the sliding mechanism come as a complete part? Part numbers and prices please.

Re: Panaramic sunroof
Hi,
Just driven down through France in my new (to me) 2005 Megane 1.6 vvt auto estate, and the wind roar from the panoramic sunroof was horrendous.
A combination of Autoroute speeds (90 mph) and a force 8 gale exacerbated the problem, because at 'normal' speeds it's ok.
I've read this thread with interest, and it seems to be a fairly common condition.
I've had a look, and I think it's the rubber seals which are the problem - particurlarly the front one, it's partially compressed in the centre, and is quite stiff and is not very flexible.
So, like the previous poster, I would like to know if you can buy these seals, and if they are a DIY or a dealer job? (and if anyone has anyideas as to cost - either DIY or dealer?) Oh, and how to do it - DIY !
Very grateful for any help with this.
Thanks

Re: Panaramic sunroof
Had the usual panaramic roof rattle, greasing rear slide pivots worked for a few days, eventually cured mine by removing the sliding glass rear pivots ( torx screw ),making a couple of thin plastic sheet washers, put these either side of the pivot bracket ( with grease ) (making sure the pivot pivots with no friction ) roof works great and no rattles at all
Hope this helps anyone.

Anybody know a quick and simple way to get the runners apart?

That's a lie! I don't know the part number, but the sliders and riser brackets are £97.31 (includes VAT) from renault dealer
