power , acceleration loss

can anyone help ??? i own a 1.9 DCI 03 plate and its recently lost power!!! it will sit and idle no bother although it sounds louder than normal ! also revs up much slower than it used too as well as wants to surge forward chucking out some black smoke . if this has happened to anyone else your advice and cure of this problem would be much appreciated

This happened to me a while ago. I went for a 'serious' drive, cleaned the EGR and breather system and put some decent oil in. Been sound for a year or so since.
