p0638 does any 1 know what this code is

i have just recently scaned my 1.4 megane on a 03 plate and the folowing code came up i erased it and it didnt come back up but just out of curosity i am wondering what it is (p0638) thanks

sounds to me like the accelartor pedal.

The usual answer to this code is that the electronic potentiometer in the pedal does not agree with the motorised throttle body position. Often it is because the throttle body is fouled with crap and the butterfly valve cannot move to the recommended position as a result. The solution is to clean the throttle body. They do get dirty with age and it's a free cure.

i aso havethis problem but i did clean my throttle housing still no luck, replaced it with new throttle housing and still the fault cameback on??

Opening the manual from the sticky thread above, looking for 0638, finding the Renault code DF079, searching the same document for DF079. Bingo! A full page on this subject!
