Screen Washer Fault Megane 2005

The screen washers on my Megane 2005 Hatchback have developed a fault. The screen washer now squirts water on both the front screen & rear screen when the stalk is moved to wash/wipe the front screen. Pulling the lever towards you used to only wash/wipe the front screen. This has meant a loss of pressure in the front jets and now they don't really clean the front screen properly. They need to work seperately again !! Has any one else had this problem. Any solutions ??

Hy there,

The solution is simple...change the water pump attached to the water deposit. Its a "do it your self" job. Ive had that problem before and changing the pump solved my problem completely. Peugeot/Citroen uses exactly the same pump and at least here in Portugal its cheaper then in the Renault dealer so i went to a Peugeot dealer with the broken pump, showed it to the spare parts balcony and ive said that i want a pump exactly like that one and there it was...bought it and installed it, just had to lay down under the front right of the car and in 5-10 min you have all the work done, screen washer working 100%.
