Postby lee1981 » Sat Aug 28, 2010 3:08 pm

Hi all this is my first post i reall y hope you guys can help me, I have a 2003 1.4 petrol megane, i have a fault where my car brings on the check injection light and the revs rise to about 2k without me touching the throttle and then it will hardly rev above 3k and there is now power?? i turn the car of and back on again and all is back to normal?? i have had the codes read and it came up with faults all relating to the throttle body, this was replaced and re set and was ok for about 2 hours and then did it again... another throttle body was replaced with another one under warranty and guess what still the same! this happens at least 2-3 times a day. The codes only ever come up with throttle body fault codes, it has been to renault dealers and they have no idea?? please help cheers Lee

My first guess would be a broken wire to the throttle body connector causing an intermittent fault, or a corroded contact inside the connector. The second guess is the insulation on the corresponding wires.
