Megane 2 Headlight Bulbs Keep Popping

I don't kow if I'm just unlucky but I'm going throuhh bulbs at an alrming rate at the moment' I've lost 4 or 5 bulbs over the last few months (main light, side lights etc) and I'm sure the one that has just gone was the obne I got replaced a few weeks back.

Does anyone know of any issues that could cause this or is it a case of bad luck? I wouldn't mind so much but it's a nightmare to change them.

You should take care not to touch the bulb body with your fingers. Use gloves. Another thing that springs to mind is poor contacts.

To be honest I've been getting them replaced at the local garage after the first nightmare I had changing a bulb, they are so damn inaccessible. Not sure if they are touching the body or not when fitting, I would hope not but who knows.

They will be getting crap and grease all over them. However, check that water isn't getting into the fittings and that the bulbs are actually blown. Its been known to remove a so called blown bulb only to put it back and have it work.

As direstraits said, bad contacts - not uncommon.
