Severed wires!

Hi everyone,ive just finished puting my card reader back on which had fell off and found a bunch of wires what have been cut ,i found them behind the little access panel below the start button.Anyone know what they could be? Each wire is about the size of a telephone wire.Oh yes i own a Megane 1.9 Dynamique, 52 plate.
