Card key failures

My ususal card key failed on me with the error "card not detected" coming up. My spare worked fine for about a week then started to become increasingly intermittent with the same error.
Checked all the posts relating to this concern and finding a fix looked fruitless.
With no option left, bar the £200 odd to Renault for new keys, I decided to break open the cards (used a stanley knife carefully round the bonded seam).

RESULT!!!!

The coils on both cards each had one terminal that had broken it solder joint to the circuit board. Resoldered terminals on both and both now work perfect

Hope this helps some of you with the same problem.
