Is there any special tools I need to change the springs on my car?

Not according to the Haynes manual. It does warn to support the left hand hub assembly (or tie it up) to prevent the driveshaft pulling out of the transmission when removing the front struts and to mark the position of the rear springs relative to the car. As you can probably tell, I have no personal experience so this may be common sense.
