Steering Noise

Postby meccano04 » Tue Jun 09, 2009 10:11 pm

Hi folks

Ive noticed a click that sounds like its coming from just behind the steering wheel, it happens when the wheel is returning to the centre position after a right turn, and happens when the wheel is at about 10'oclock. Does anyone have any idea what it is? Its been in the garage a couple of times and all they've found is other broke bits (List: Exhaust back box, Track Rod Ball Joint, Lower Ball Joint, Suspension Top Mount - this was meant to stop this click) Im starting to wonder if they are guessing and its hurting my pocket (and my confidence in my otherwise great motor)

ive googled a bit and read something about a nut and bolt that may need re-tightened and then an adhesive applied to it?
Does anyone know what bolt this would be?

The only thing i can think it is would be the thing that knocks off the indicator, as the noise seems to happen at the point when the indicators would knock off

This is when it clicks on full lock. Otherwise, it might be something else. The bolt is in the driver's foot well.
