Castrol Edge OK?

Hi there

Sorry, I did look around and the manual is a little confusing.

Will Castrol Edge Sport 0W-40 or 5w-40 be ok for the 1.6 VVT engine, can somebody confirm please?

Reason being I can get the stuff quite cheap and my other car needs this oil (6.5 litres of the stuff).

Both are good, anything above MB229.3 is very good. For a petrol car I would have chosen the first one, because it is thinner and does not contain EP additives needed for 505.01. Regardless of the choice change it once a year or 9k miles, as these oils have low TBN. This means limited resistance to water/acid contamination.
