Problems after changing the Battery

Postby Luquitas » Tue Apr 14, 2009 11:41 am

Hi,

I have a megane 2003 dynamique and yesterday my battery died, I changed it for a new one and now windscreens are not working properly, every time I try to lower them dow, they just move 3 or 4 cms and then stop. I have to repeat the action 6 or 7 times to fully lower them down. Does anyone now how to fix this?
The stereo isn't working either, I need a code now, DOes anyone now from where I can get it?

Regards

Your stereo code should be in with with your owners handbook / stereo handbook.

The other stuff I feel that you may need a reset, try searching in the ownership problems forum.

freddymercurystwin wrote:As mentioned you should have the code otherwise a trip to the Stealers, ebay or other online service, presume you mean the side windows? To reset hold all 4 switches (or 2 if 2 door car) on the drivers door in the up position at once for min. 10 secs.

Yes, I meant side windows. Thanks a lot for the tips. Problems are now fixed. :-)

Cheers

what happens is the car loses the memory to where the position of the window is - may look stupid to us because we can visably see the glass - by putting the window right to the top and then holding the switch up for 10secs resets the memory telling the computer the window is at the top. After this all the windows should also close and the one touch system should work.
