im servicing my 1.6vvt megane on saturday got:
oil
oil filter
air filter
spark plugs
cabin filter
fuel filter (can anyone tell me where this is located)

is there anything that i am missing, had new disks and pads not long ago

The fuel filter on the petrol cars is part of the pump and is submerged INSIDE the tank. Pretty sure it shouldn't be touched (I wouldn't) but it's under the rear seat (the big rubber disc).

thats how much it should cost at a garage by me. my dads a mechanic i worked with him for over 5 years so i do all my work myself.

1.6 petrol is K4M-760 or 761. Reading the official manual (not Haynes) -- the fuel filter is in the tank and it is combined with the pump. I don't know what they changed instead. Did they list the part number?

I suggest to find out what oil and what oil filter they used. The filter must be OEM (Purflux and Mann are good), and the oil must be synthetic MB229.3 or MB229.5 (Mercedes specs). Garages typically use mineral oils (they often call them semi-synthetics), which according to Mercedes are not suitable for long service intervals.

When the spark plugs are changed, a special insulating grease, part number 82 00 168 855, must be applied according to the technical note 3789A. Without it the ignition coils may fail.

The front discs are cheap and the rear are expensive, as they come with bearings and the ABS rings. The OEM pads are not as good as EBC GreenStuff, which work and feel much better and produce less dust.
Pads: £28(regular EBC), £80 (GreenStuff), £50? (OEM , many of them squeal), £50 https://www.brakes.org.uk
Front discs (pair): £70 (EBC D982), OEM are about the same, Bremtech £50
Rear discs (pair): £120 (OEM only, any non-OEM don't have bearings inside!)
DOT4 brake fluid 1L -- cheap (£5?)
Labour: 1h -- £50-£100
Brake fluid must be changed every second year. This is a characteristic of the fluid, not the car.

There can be special offers on EBC parts (inc. free delivery) -- shop around. I switched to the GreenStuff pads in the second year, while the car was on warranty. The car is 5.5 y.o. now -- still happy.

Ask the garage for calculation (check in the VAT is included). It does not need to be a dealer, but the dealers can bleed the brakes better (they use the diagnostic computer to operate the ABS pump). Bosch garages are not bad (see their web site).

Brake fluid must be changed every second year.

Mines 6 years old now never had it done or done it. Is it just a case of draing from bleed screw on calipers then re filling and bleeding?

Just bleed the brakes and use a bit more fluid as usual. Keep bleeding until the colour of the fluid becomes lighter. The fluid looses its properties otherwise and causes corrosion. Don't let air in the system -- it will get trapped in the ABS pump. The ABS pump, by the way, needs a regular exercise (in snow or dirt).
