Hi all
I posted a week ago about my check injection fault, and the consensus seemed to say it was the ignition coils (1.4 petrol) causing the revving and the warning. Renault currently have it for the second time and both times say they can find nothing wrong. They say they are going to change the throttle body. My question is, what is that?
Many thanks
Grrr!
What is the 'Throttle body'?

Re: What is the 'Throttle body'?
it is the bit that controls how much air is going into the engine.
simply it is the section at the engine end of the air intake, with electronics and sensors (MAF)to open/close the internal butterfly mechanism as you press/release the accelerator.
it also controls the engine idle (as meganes don't have a seperate idle control valve).

Re: What is the 'Throttle body'?
Revving in petrols is usually due to air entering the intake manifold in the area after the throttle body. It has to do with the anti-pollution system. Several thin pipes are there -- disconnect one and it revs. Check the simple things first!
