Hello All,
I'm really stuck here as my Sidelight bulb has blown. Anyway, does anyone here know the best way to change the bulb without shredding my arms. it's on the nearside, and I have changed the headlight bulbs before with no problems by accessing it under the wheelarch, but the sidelight is a different matter.
Does the Sidelight pull out or do you need to turn it for it's removal?
Any recommendations will be very much appreciated.

Re: Changing the Sidelight Bulb...
Thanks for quick reply Steve.
Are you referring to clip that holds the headlight bulb? And, have you done this before as I've open the bonnet and took the plastic cover off so I can see from above and the cover under the wheel arch. What is the best method to replace the side light bulb anyway?

Re: Changing the Sidelight Bulb...
phase 1 the bulb is below the dipped beam
phase 2 the bulb is in with the main beam
the clip is on the black bulb holder
it is easier to jack up car and remove the wheel
even better to remove the arch liner by three big push in bolt things much better access
cap off squeeze the clip slide out holder bulb pushes into that

Re: Changing the Sidelight Bulb...
Thanks again. Will have another go in the morning as it's getting dark now. Will attempt to remove wheel arch cover but leave wheel on as my driveway is sloped downwards, so I can't really use the jack.
Will let you know if I succeeded

Jack up enough to raise the car but leaving wheel on ground
Will give more space to work

Well apparently, if you strip every part of the car away from the headlamp unit you'll be able to get at it.
Sorry to make light of a bl**dy annoying problem, but when you consider its a legal requirement in France to carry spare bulbs, it seems that a French car designed to be almost impossible to change Headlight bulbs etc was a slight overthought.
Perhaps Renault will supply a blow up technician to keep in the boot to change em for you!
Errrr............ You can guess where the inflation valve would be placed if you let a Frenchman design it!
See 'Airplane' for a reminder

Re: Changing the Sidelight Bulb...
Well....the good news,I succeeded replacing the Side light Bulbs. But it was NOT easy, specially the nearside.
The bad news, I lost one plastic clip that holds the bulb holder in place. Is there anywhere I can get a replacement or otherwise, I just use blu-tack.
