Clutch clicking when depressed

Postby Mattj » Fri Jan 02, 2009 8:05 pm

Hi,

When i depress the clutch I get a loud click or thud - the pedal feels spongy like the spring isnt working - when I have reached under the pedal you can push a large pin back towards the drivers door - when fully in place the pedal is fine and firm - i am guessing something has broken off which should hold the pin in place?? what is this pin??

sounds like your clutch return spring has snapped, happened to me a while back. Popped into my local dealer and all was sorted within about 15 minutes - didn't even book an appointment! No idea on cost as it was under warranty.
