Megane GT 07 diesel

Postby coolskol » Mon Oct 20, 2008 10:54 am

Dear All l
As a new member here I'd like to find out if any one has had problems when starting this model up when cold. Mine has about 16,500 on the clock from new, I started to notice that when starting from cold that a lot of smoke was thrown out of the exhaust, this is of a bluish hue. This problem has been ongoing for the last year or more, with frequent trips to the dealer, I have stil to get an answer as to why this happens only from the service maneger that this is perculier to this type of engine. Just wondering if anyone else has had this sort of problem? Thanks

There was another fella on here that had that similar problem with his GT, From what i remember the dealer replaced the car for him as no fix could be found. Not to give you bad news. Have a good look through search, it was only a few weeks back so shouldnt be to hard to find.

Hope u get it sorted,

P

Ulrich100 just an update after the dealer had done the download it seemed to depreess the amount of smoke on starting but had not eliminated the problem. it seems now since that the amount of smoke has increased again so it back to square one again, oh and whilst it was at the dealers the managed to gouge one of the alloys Doh. So it's goingback in next week so they going to have another look, and this time get hold of Renualt Tech guys. Will keep you updated

Go on give them hell
As for the wheel they should pay for a new one or resurface at least
Can you not reject the car?
