Stuck Electric Window

Hi

I'm an owner of a Megane Dynamique 1.6 2004

The front passenger electric window intermittently works at best, but at present the window has stopped working and is not fully closed. I've checked the fuses and tried to reset the window, but no joy.

Can anyone advise what else I can check and it I'm able to get the window up manually?

When I had a regulator malfunction, the window would descend completely, so I wonder if it's not explicitly the regulator, but the motor (I'm led to believe they are both in the same unit - but mine was fixed under warranty so I didn't see).

Has the window been intermittent for a while, or only in the recent days when it's been raining a lot? Seems to be that water ingress can cause big problems like this...
