Hi Folks,
First time posting and desparately in need of help....!
I have a 2003 Megane 1.5 DCI and have been experiencing electrical problems (surprise, surprise !). It started with the Electric Windows on the Offside (Driver and Passenger). To cut a long story short, I have now managed to fix these, by purchased two replacement motors from Renault World - a car breakers that specialise in Renault only. However, whilst working on the driver's side door - the electric mirrors stopped working. In the process of "debugging" using a meter to test the circuits and removing all the fuses - I appear to have caused an even greater problem. Now when I start the car, the Radio Code needs to be entered and the clock and computer have all been reset. The car starts and runs normally, however, when I stop the engine (and all electrics remain on) and open the car door - everything dies, even the alarm immobiliser. This also happens if I stay in the car and lock with the plip. When I re-enter the car and start the ignition - all functions have been reset and I need to re-enter the radio code.
All electric systems function in the car (with the exception of the mirrors), with all fuses ok. I have also tried disconnection the battery to try and reset the car computer - but the same problem exists. It is almost as if there has been a software programming change to the car computer (ECU) to operate in a different mode - how this occurred I do not know.
Has anybody heard of this problem before ? I would be very grateful if someone could advise me on a course of corrective action (including the Electric Mirrors).
Many thanks in advance.

Just replying to my post as I have solved the problem...!
Turns out it was a fuse that had gone. For future reference, it was the fuse in the glove box labelled "COUPE CONSO".
