Failed Hand Brake

Postby horsleygc » Wed Aug 13, 2008 3:55 pm

Scary or what ? Had the hand brake fail on a relatively steep hill when I had to do a hand-brake start. Dealer says a component is broken and they are waiting the spare part. Having the leaking roof fixed at the same time ( see leaking roof notes on notice board ) ; no courtesy car available so car-less. Renault Uk responded in a word - TOUGH
Megane cabriolet 56 plate 4500 mles. Wouldn't buy another. Will have one for sale in a couple of weeks (unless the spares take longer)

dealers always seem to have no courtersey car available, i even asked the crap one around here if this was renault's policy. renault uk don't have a customer service, they have a load of monkeys that read off a flow chart that all end with "no"
