Centre Brake light
Anyone know how to avoid going to a dealer to change the centre brake light in a Megane Sport Tourer (2005 version). Halfords don't even stock the bulb. I have been having trouble with rear lights and I just want to find out if the failed light is a bulb or something else.

Re: Centre Brake light
you have to change the whole light unit...probably water ingress. if your lucky it might just be wiring.
your best bet for avoiding dealers is a trip down the scrappers.

Re: Centre Brake light
The PDFs are still there...
I had this problem in a 5-door hatchback. It was due to corrosion of the connector on the light and the adjacent track on the printed circuit board. Fixed with a pen knife and a drop of conductive paint. Removal instructions and pictures are in the PDF manual (pull off the internal plastic panel -- unclip the light).

Re: Centre Brake light
Thanks everyone for the advice. I suspect it's wiring too. How do I get the cluster out of the spoiler. There's no obvious screws. I don't want to force it and break everything.
