Just an update to my question yesterday. As per the advice FREE from an indepedent renault garage mechanic the fuel cleaner put in today has not only cleared the message from the screen but has also taken off the sevice sign, £15 spent hundreds saved and good old fashioned service from a garage that could have charged and done anything.

what fuel cleaner did you use?.......did you go on a longer journey to run it through the system?
