idle revs

can anybody shed some light on what the rec counter should be sitting at on a 1.4 16v megane sports saloon 04 plate as mine sits at 1.5 to 2000 rpm even when its had a 60 mile nonstop run then sitting in traffic
fair enough on a cold start but even when warm?
anybody got any info it would be much appreciated as it is still under garage warranty, having only purchased it 3 weeks ago

It is a warranty case. There is a manual in Links section, but you can just go to the dealer.

i think a phone call to a renault dealer maybe in order see what they say before a speak to my dealer

should be 850-900 at a guess. sounds like you might have an air leak or loose hose. or a stickin throttle
