Door handle removal

Well the forum is back

I have a 52 reg Dci with handsfree, which of course, doesn't work properly! The driver's door works fine, the rear offside button works but not the sensor but neither the nearside doors work. I wanted to have a play with it in the view of fixing them in the future but have no idea how to the remove the door handle or sensor, could somebody help please?

I bought a new switch in the hope I could replace one of the near side ones and see if it helps (or if the sensor is at fault) but although I got the door panel off and connected it to the front nearside socket (it didn't fix it!), I couldn't work out what the next step would have been if it did work?

I have this problem and although it isn't a major thing, I paid for it as an extra on the car and so I want it to work.

The front passenger sensor works but not the button. The back passenger button and sensor work, nothing on the drivers side works at all!!
Last month, none of them worked at all!! Oh well.....

I have an '05 1.5 dci, it's at Renault Cardiff as we speak being looked at. Although I am now out of warranty, I first contacted the dealership 'in-warranty' they have fobbed me off every since. As well as the usual 'leaking door pockets' I have rattling panoramic glass roof when it's cold, and a non-retracting drivers seat belt which is a pain!!

Come on Renault, I love my Megane but get your act together!!


25/06/08 - Well after a fight with the dealer & Renault UK my handsfree is all working. I had to pay 30% of the costs (£111) but it's working!!
And my leaky door pockets have now been sealed too
