regulator

I put my passenger window down today and it stayed at the bottom.I couldnt get it back up so ive took it to a garage and they have said its the regulator.any ideas where to getone cheap?ive been told they are about £200.

same thing happened to me around two weeks ago :( and its still not fixed as i dont get paid til tomorrow.

I havent been told a quote as yet....but this must be a consistent problem with them

minor things like this makes me hate the car i love :(

At the minute ive got the window wedged upwith some wood.im gonna leave it like that until i can get some money together.£200 is disgusting for just a little thing like a regulator.

Did anyone try to look at these regulators closely? Can't it be just a corroded contact or something similarly simple?

mine went last week. cost me 220 pounds. local renault dealer told me it was a problem in o4 plates. a pal of mine has same car and his failed a month ago. not good, is it? :(

I also think someone said there's an extended warranty on regulators... do a search!
