Window regulator

Postby bronkone7 » Sat May 10, 2008 2:13 pm

Hi All
I have the problem with the Window regulator i think.
The rear passenger window being open and not able to shut,is this only caused by this window regulator,or is there anything else to check first.
Can this not be repaired by diy
Many thanks
Brian

There were many posts about it. The problem is usually attributed to water ingress into the electrics in the door. Sometimes it is possible to reset the controller by disconnecting the battery and/or holding all buttons up. You can find the instructions on replacement in the repair manual pointed at in Links.

Cheers for that.
Seams to have cured itself at the moment.
I've probably jinxed myself now and it will be down in the morning.

I wouldn't be too certain about that. I have had both my window regulators replaced. I thought one was okay but once they have fallen down once they are pretty much knackered. :x
