Convertible roofproblem

I have a reanault megane 54 plate. the roof was working fine until this summer. I tried to open the roof and it stuck half way. I managed to close it manually. I have tried it again and it goes down a bit at a time if I keep pressing the button, but then the boot will not close. Has any one experienced the same problem. Can anyone recomend a garage in the Birmingham area where I can get it fixed

That's a tough one. Could it be in need of some lubrication?
