CHECK GEARBOX - 1.6 AUTO

Hi,

Just started the car there about 20 minutes ago, drove about 1KM and the engine got really jumpy / lumpy. Check Gearbox message came up along with a flashing orange light and the SERVICE icon lit RED.

Car is tiptronic, won't change gears manually either.

Is this a coil issue? Also, is it covered under warranty?

It is a gearbox issue. I've seen the description of this message in the repair manual pointed at in Links. I hope someone else could be more helpful...

Are you sure? Some topics seem to suggest it's a coil problem..

Check ignition has also came on.

No, I am not sure. I just wanted to point at the manual which contains relevant, at least to some extent, information. I don't have an auto box or ignition coils in my car...

Had this problem today. Changed a coil and all fixed.....

But for how long!!
