I have read something about a poor connection on the wiring under the seat that has something to do with the airbag. This is one possible source of the light on your dashboard so use the search facility to have a look through the ownership problems for related threads.
Does the switch to disable the rear electric windows also lock the rear doors?

See page 17 in the manual. It does not say "move them", I am afraid... Is it what you read?

Eh? What vehicle are we talking about here?

On the Megane II and Scenic II the child locks are operated from a switch located on the driverside electric window switch panel.. Press the bottom button on the panel and the switch light will illuminate. The rear doors will be child locked and the windows cannot be operated from the rear.

regards the AirBag light...i'm wondering if this is just telling you that the passenger AirBag is switched off ???
there is a switch on the side of the dash, only visable when the drivers door is open...this is to turn-on/off the passenger airbag...maybe your's is just switched off ?

With regards to the passenger air back light, I have the same problem, keeps coming on and off willy nilly, I had the same problem with a Clio I bought and it had summit to do with the connections under the seat...I took it in and they fixed, and they said it was a common fault(if it's so common why wire it up that way in the first place  )

Airbag + service normally indicates a problem with the airbag rotary switch (aka clockspring). I am in the process of having my second one replaced, does the steering wheel click when going from lock to lock?

Most likely -- yes. Please be careful playing with it. Static electricity or a glitch may detonate the airbags!

if your gunna play - disconnect the battery for at least 30 mins and then clip the switch back in - just to be on the safe side
