Probably best to check what it's like when cold and when hot?
By the sound of things I'd say you could do with a drop of the stuff though!

Go to your local dealer and get some from there, you cannot mix coolants so is important you get the right one for your car

Yep, some coolants may produce gel or solid residue if mixed. It is safer to get coolant from the dealer. I am sure that topping up ONCE with SMALL AMOUNT (1l or so) of DISTILLED water will not harm the system.

In any case, check the level and cleanliness of the coolant properly (the manual may help) as its loss may indicate a bad fault. Too much coolant is also bad as it expands when the engine is hot.

The level should be between Min/Max when cold.. The coolant lasts for 4 years before replacement is required..

It will not harm the strength if you need to "top up" the bottle with a few 100ml's of tap water.. Distilled water is not necessary, Tap water is fine..

So just add tap water? It is just above min when cold (checked after 3 hours not running!)

Cheers guys
