Hi guy's ,
Yes, i'm a newbee.
I 've had a lot of great advice from this forum (thanks to all) and after reading that Renault extended the warranty to 4 years on the window regulators but not the looms . Just thought i'd let you know that I have just had my front window regulator and loom replaced under warranty on my 3 1/2 year old megan. (dont take no for an answer on the loom)
P.S aslo read that Renault only cover for the front windows only .....Not true all windows are covered for 4 years.
Hope this helps.

Re: Front Window regulator
Yes, exactly the same problems as i had. Renault have reconised that there is a fault with the regulators and are extending the warranty to 4 years so You will be covered under warranty. You may have to fight for the loom part as i had to do,as the loom costs about £100.00 each door.

Which Renult dealer have you used? I stay fairy close to Glasgow. Have used Parks of Hamiliton and havnt been very impressed with them!
Did you contact Reult themselves or did you go straight to the dealer?
Glad ive found someone with the same problem.

Re: Front Window regulator
Just had my front passenger window regulator and wiring loom ,replaced by the Stealer.
Driving a 04 1.6 16v dynamique, with 20 days left until the 4 year warranty for elec. windows runs out.
Firstly the Stealer quoted me £88 inspection charge ,so i rang Renault uk for there take on this, they said it is at the stealers discresion, but assured me if the fault was the reg then i should be covered.
Armed with this i told the stealers ,who stood by the charge and left it at that.
Today my meg went in the workshop and i soon had a stealer on the phone telling me the REg was burnt out because of the loom failing!! and it would be £400 ! to fix.
I told him that i'm expecting a free warranty repair for this work ,and mentioned i knew all about the fault ,had spoke to Renault uk and name dropped this forum .
He mumbled something about ,getting back to me and rang off.
At 5pm tonight ,ready for a massive argument i turned up ,low and behold all repairs done and fixed foc under warranty. Result.
Never give up ,keep at them ,and play them at their own game.
