How do you reset the ECU?

How do you reset the ECU?

I have an 04 plate 1.6 Megane. Recently the sevice and toxic fume indicator light came on and the engine was chugging. I took it to a local garage who i`ve used before and they did a diagnostic on the car. I revealed that one of the ignition coils needed repalcing. After reading about this fault on this forum I replaced all 4 coils. The car is now running fine but the warning lights are still on. I have been told I need to reset the ECU in order for it to take account of the changes. Does anyone know if this is true or how to reset the ECU?

Mine did the same mate
it just clears its self after so many on and offs
i try'd taking the battery off but that didnt work
so just wait and it will do it its self in time mate dont worry

Leave the battery off for an hour

i dont know if this is right but in order for me to remove an error message i just held the stalk button in for a few seconds. upon releasing the button the message went.
