Radio Code required - Renault one not working :(

Postby DciDynamique » Mon Dec 17, 2007 2:37 pm

Right, after the horrendous clutch ordeal, I now have a problem with the radio. Since the battery has been off it seems to have re-set itself so it now requires a 4digit code.

I've rang Renault with the VIN and Reg and they gave me a 4 digit code. Unfortunately it doesn't work :( All I get is this inane dull beep. To be honest I'm not even sure I'm entering it right; I use digits 1 - 4 of the unit to change the respective code digits, but then press button 5 to enter the code. Is this right?

If so, it appears I have a radio with no code. Is it worth me sending it off to be re-coded, or trying one of theses instant code companies online?

Many thanks
A disheartened Sean!

Use the remote controls next to the steering wheel. The scroll wheel changes the numbers one at a time. Press the button underneath (on the bottom) to move to the next number. Having entered the four numbers, hold this button for a few seconds and it should confirm the code.

The process to enter the security code is also clearly explained in the owners manual... :zz

my handbook also said press button 5 to enter the code but this didn't work. however, using button 6 instead seemed to do the trick for me.

That would be the owners book that we appear to be lacking.

Followed what 72uoba posted and it worked a treat. Radio now working fine. Thanks for your help :)
