xenon headlight unusual problem?

went out in the car earlier, the normally superb xenon headlights were pointing very low, only lighting up the road about 20 feet in front of me. obviously this is a problem with the automatic adjustment, has anyone else experienced this? or know what, why, is causing this?

i vaugely remember a post on parkers about the ballast on both lights for someone failed. Quite rare for both to go but it was warranty fixed for him.

The Height adjustment poteniometer connections may be contaminated by water as the are located low down on the nearside lower suspension arms.

thanks webcode, it's booked into my local service centre on Saturday. Hopefully a nice quick fix.

all fixed, was a problem with one of height adjustment sensors.
Both were replaced under warrenty, all done while i waited in about 45 minutes. I can now see where im going!!!
