I own a Megane Dynamique 1.6VVT 54 plate. The trip computer appears top be stuck/jammed on fuel used setting. I have tried to change this by pressing the trip stalk but this justs resets the fuel used counter to zero. No matter how long I hold the stalk it will not change back to the mileage setting.
I would appreciate any help/advice.

Just to check that you are pressing the button on the end of the wiper stalk and not the mileage reset button on the speedo bezal?
Does it display this as soon as you start the car?
