How to get my dephaser pulley sorted????

Ok guys and gals. My car is due in on friday for ball joint failure in MOT (Under warranty luckly) and has recently started to give me problems starting and stalling (dephaser pulley I presume) However my warranty runs out on 23rd April and I asked dealer if they can sort it on friday but they say it dont sound like the dephaser pulley. My question is whats the right way to put it to them on friday so they will sort it for me. Webcode if your still out there in Spain I need your help now as i only have a few days left.... before it runs out.
