O7 Megane the dashboard light is not lighting up nor are the lights or indicators or petrol gauge or speedometer.
Will I find the fuse (I hope it is only a fuse) in the glovebox or under the bonnet?
Which fuse do I need to change - and where do I find it?

Over to Rosey for that one - I was asking to help out but she has signed up now so there's no point me getting further involved.
I think she said the fuses all seem to be fine. Is there a master fuse for the circuits controlling those things or something?

The master fuses are at the positive terminal.
Some clarity needed now to be able to help.
Cheers

Silly to point out but itcould be the rheostat switch on the right of steering wheel on the dash...there are 2 switched 1 to dim dash and 1 to change height of the front light beams...sometimes polishing the car the switch can be moved....

This is a long shot, but worth a try. Have you got the 'automatic headlamps' feature enabled - the one where the headlamps come on automatically when it begins to get dark. If you have, then try disabling it. I seem to remember that this feature can sometimes 'get itself into a muddle', and cause problems with the dashboard lights similar to those you describe.

Did you ever find an answer to this problem?
My dash suddenly went dark this evening. No lights on the dash, no gauges work not even the speedo. The indicators don't make a sound but they work.
I hope it's only a fuse as well, but no speedo?? that seems really strange

It was the plug on the back of the instrument binnacle for me that had worked loose. The crash pad above pulls up and back and the screws holding the clocks in are behind. Hope this helps.
