Hi folks,
Another issue with this car! Whenever I turn the steering wheel (usually at very low speeds, doing manoeuvres for example) there is a plastic clicking noise just behind the steering wheel. Sounds like someone is slowly scrunching up a packet of crisps. Can anyone tell me what this can be?

Actually, just looked at the haynes manual and I'm guessing it's the airbag rotary connector. Is this true? If so, has anyone replaced one? Haynes gives it a 4 spanners!!! Surely not!?

Re: Plastic sounding clicking from steering wheel
I believe this was quite a common problem on this era of Megane...
I had the same problem, and yes it was the airbag rotary connector.
The airbag rotary connector is also known as the clock spring.

I read a really good post on how to do it. Seems simple enough, but a bit fidly. Have you done it before?
