Re: BCM
Hi Melanie,
bear with me as l am reading from the Haynes wiring diagram :-
the abs unit is primarily fed by F5 engine fuse box (red wire 1) and F13 (25 amp) engine multiplex module (red wire 2)
it is also connected to F1R 20 amp and F1F (10 amp) plus what looks like a relay in the passenger fuse box, (yellow wire)
from the relay there is a wire goes to the interior multiplex module (yellow) which is to presumably give a warning.
l would say that the abs doesn't run through the interior multiplex module, but with ignition on or engine running, the (red wire 1) from engine fuse box should be live.
l think the other red one would be to activate the motor in the abs unit.
Take a look on you tube ' how to test abs unit ', doesn't matter what car, there should be something.
Hope this helps
Bob.
ps the BCM is the interior multiplex module. (body control module)

Thank you Bob !
As you can see I am still plodding along with the car , but have asked questions in here so I don't end up being ripped off by garages , a little knowledge goes a long way !
Thanks again !

Re: BCM
Hi Melanie,
well worth asking friends, relatives, everbody you know, if they can recommend a small friendly non rip-off garage nowadays.
l have always had to learn stuff as l could never afford to go to garages, now, it's worse than ever the way cars are.
You have my sympathy.
