Electric window mk 2 Megane 2006 1.4 petrol
Hi i am looking some advice on my car electric window has stopped working it's not regulator as when I tested window relay and took cover of manually activated it the window then was able to move up and down freely. Which would rule out the most common faults. I have looked everywhere for some info to help resolve the problem but cannot find any thing so any help would be much appreciated.. also driver wi Dow is not working but I have the feeling that may be because the motor has went

Hi,
the electric windows can drive you nuts.
lt's not uncommon to take the door card off, wiggle the wires and it works, then when put back together doesn't work.
Had it myself. Usually a temic connector off ebay will fix it, unless ofcourse the motor has gone.
Personally, l fixed mine last week by taking my original temics apart and cleaned the contacts thoroughly with wet and dry paper.
Good luck
Bob.

if you are handy with a soldering iron, put a layer of solder on all the pins on the window regulator (both sides)
this will give a good connection when plugged back in as the pins are now slightly fatter allowing the connections
on the socket to bite into the solder.
it solved my window problem
best of luck

I agree, terrible quality of connector (the female part) and shutting the door is enough to stop it working again.
Tinning all the pins with a thin layer of solder is a great idea.

Hi Bigjohno,
it's never that easy mate, it's checking switches, door cards off ( not a 5 min job) and fixing the temic connectors to the motors. That is if the motors are ok.
Plenty on the net to guide you.
Good luck
Bob.

Tinned my front passenger pins - very easy, solder flows well - so far so good.
Rear passenger, all burned up.
Useless.
