Drivers window fault.

Postby robbie1003 » Wed Apr 05, 2017 6:09 pm

My pride and pain in the arse has developed a problem with drivers window, all of a sudden it has stopped working. Iv fitted a replacement mechanism checked the switch and wiring best I can, the box on the motor has been changed. I seem to have power to shut the window, there is only power one way to the motor. Anybody know where the problem could be? It's a 2005 cc which may make a difference.

On the checks iv done it seems there is no switching earth for the downward, is there any common faults causing this? Plug in a pillar looks sound.

Hi,
if the motor works, it must be connections or wiring or the interior multiplex module.
When you say 'box on motor changed' is this the temic module you can get on ebay or another original type.
l got one for mine and has been fine, lt only runs while pressing the switch and cuts out the stuff controlled by the multiplex module but reliable.
Bob.
