central locking

my cc has developed a strange fault, when the boots open the central locking flicks open and shut and boot light flashes. any clue to the cure? doesnt do it all the time but obviously it need sorting. any help appreciated.

took out the switch that's inside the diamond badge, thankfully it's quite serviceable, cleaned the contacts and wd40 just to remove any moisture. Worked fine thismorning, time will tell if the switch was the fault.

My jag has its moments with its tailgate, Jetwash is usually the culprit rather than rain. The megane did leak on the joints of the rubber seals but a good clean and degrease has cured that problem. Use to happen on sunroofs a lot back in day, bit of muck between rubber and the glass, same.on the seal of the switches.
