Hello Folks,
The windows on my 1.4 2005 have developed a strange mode of operation in that when the switch is operated the window moves about 2" then stops necessitating repeated use of the switch to get the window fully open/closed. Anyone experienced this? Any advice welcome. Charlie..

this has happened to mine a few times try resetting them by putting them all the way down then holding the down button for a couple of seconds then put all the way up then hold the up button for a few seconds
if at first you don't succeed get a bigger hammer

What tanto said they just need resetting, this normally happens after disconnecting the battery

Re: Megane 1.4 2005 Window hesitant operation
Had this problem over the weekend after removing my battery. The reset as described works a treat.

Yes the recommended fix worked but i've discovered that the rear o/s window will not work at all. Any suggestions on the best way to investigate? Rgds Charlie.

Re: Megane 1.4 2005 Window hesitant operation
the window not working problem is probably due to the temic module it is a common fault on the Renaults

Thanx for that. Presumably the Temic module is accessible by taking the inner door cover off? Are they expensive? Charlie.

Re: Megane 1.4 2005 Window hesitant operation
yea remove door card temic module is held on by small torx screw you can get refurbished ones on ebay there are also a few new ones you can also get an aftermarket cube but if you go for that you lose the one touch and auto close functions also remember that the temic modules are sided so be sure to get the correct one if your handy you may be able to get one from scrap yard but no guarantee it will work ok

Re: Megane 1.4 2005 Window hesitant operation
Hello again,
Chasing my stuck window problem i've taken the cover off the motor and rotated the armature by hand but i cant get the window to move. The control wires are intact & one is under high tension. I can vary this by turning the armature but the window wont move. Is it possible to manually move the window in this way in order to check if its not jammed? The motor appears ok but i dont want to fork out for a new module if the windows jammed. Is the whole window motor/mechanism removable? Would appreciate any help..Charlie.
