You should take it to a garage that knows what they are talking about, not the one you tried before.
I'm guessing that the message is probably "Check Injection" and not "Check Injectors" as you said? If so, then there will definitely be an error code stored in the cars onboard computer that will tell a mechanic exactly what the problem is. Some of these messages can be read using generic code readers, but some of them are only seen using a specialist Renault diagnostic tool called "CAN Clip". The problem may not be expensive to fix. I've had the "Check Injection" message once on mine, and the fault was just a dirty electrical connection. I cleaned it and it has been fine ever since, and cost me absolutely nothing to fix.
Good luck, and if you add your location to your profile, someone may be able to suggest a good garage that is near you.

Re: Check Injections
Looking at it logically you may as well go for MOT and find out:
- In a few days time you can't legally drive the car anyway.
- If it is cause for failing then you are no worse off and at least know it needs to be fixed by 8th Dec. Plus, being a Megane there will likely be other items to fix to pass the MOT (as they will still check everything else to give a full picture).
- If it isn't a cause to fail you have one less thing to worry about (assuming you are going to leave it unfixed if it doesn't affect MOT).
I work in the Swansea area, live in Cardiff. Guys in work recommended a garage in the Swansea area - LJL Motor Services - but I've not used them yet so cannot say either way.

Re: Check Injections
My last pre MOT check found £998 worth of work required so good luck!!! Fortunately I'm reasonably handy with a spanner so did it all myself for around £220... otherwise it would have been goodbye Megane!

Re: Check Injections
I currently own a renault megane estate 54 plate 1.5dci with check injection constantly showing i took it to renault and the pulled up a fault which was to do with injector 4 will changing it cure the issue completely i also have a warning light which says the word service. The car is also a pain to start on a cold morning and bellows blueish smoke causing a smoke screen everywhere but is fine as soon as the engines warm could this relate to needing a new injector? Could anyone with any help please private message me aswell thanks
