Boost gauge install

Postby Badsanta » Sat Oct 17, 2015 10:47 pm

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has installed a boost gauge. Where would be the best place to run your vaccume hose with out drilling thru the fire wall???

Image

Cleaning out my scuttle drain, I noticed a air vent. From previous problems, owners notice water coming in from this vent, if water came come in, can I run my vaccume hose thru here???

if you really must...

you can run wires/vacuum pipe behind the bonnet hinge behind the removable plastic windscreen trim on down through the wing and behind the door rubber into the dashboard once the dash end cover is removed...

Will be mounting right here. Wiring done, vaccum hose not so easy.

Have tried poking a snake down air vent but luck coming out near foot well pedals.

Pulled cabin filter out, large leaves came out....if large leafs can come in why can't I poke a snake thru this???

If you just want to see boost pressure then could you not install Torque Pro or similar on your phone and buy an blue tooth OBD2 connector? Works on my diesel, not sure about your petrol car.

No wires or need to add a dial blocking out part of the dash! Just buy a hands free holder and attach to windscreen. Has the benefit of having additional customisable displays - current MPG etc and you can check for fault codes.
