injectors

Hi i run a 120dci estate 54 plate. last week i went on a 50 miles trip which most of it was on dual carriageway driving at 50-70 mph. near the end of my journey the service and check injectors warning lights came on. The car still managed to run ok until the warning lights went out then ran like a pig! However, i got home and left the car to cool down over night. Since then the car has run ok with no warning signs reappearing. I have not been on any fast roads just local driving to a max of 10-15 miles. Is there anything i should do like... put an additive in the diesel? or should i prepare for the worst? Johnny

Have you got access to an OBD plugin?
The Bluetooth ones are very cheap on ebay.

Diagnosing without the error codes is going to be very difficult.

Ebay has them listed for under a fiver. Simply plug it in, and install the free version of the torque app, and you will have access to them.

I had thr same error message but had my EGR cleaned then bought Wyns triple action Gold Diesel treatment added to a full tank of fuel . It worked & cleaned the injectors and the message hasn't come back.
I'm also gonna do an oil change for good measure.
Glad I looked on the net first otherwise I would have a heeled out £340 for a new EGR straight away too.

The ECU will have logged a fault. It will be very useful to you, if you know what it is, before chucking additives in your fuel.
