Check Injection Fault - MK2 2004 1.4 ltr K4J Engine type

Hi,

Megane - MK2 1.4 ltr 2004 3 Door

I have a dash error "check injection", I have had it twice, puts the car into limp mode, first time was about 5 months ago and I simply took out the coils and had a look, all looked ok and put back in and error was gone. 2nd time was 3 weeks ago, took out coils and replaced the 4 spark plugs. engine light and service light remained on but car was fine and then engine light after a few days went off. I have been trying to get to the bottom of it lately, cleaned out the throttle body, wasn't that bad but it is fine. I also bought an obd2 reader and I get 2 faults, one p0303 which is the 3rd fuel injector I believe and the other code p638 throttle actuator control.

Regarding the first one, p0303 - I tried to have a look at the injectors but there is a large metal plate in the way. Is that removable or is there some way to access them and do I want to access them? I was told that if I change an injector it will go into limp mode until a renualt dealer recodes it - is that correct? Is there other issues that could be throwing up the p0303 code?
