Hello
Megraine 2, 49k miles but is practically a new car on account of the amount of new parts its had.
Anyway, the compressor clutch has decided to fail - does anyone know if the compressor clutch can be replaced (any DIYs?) or does the whole compressor need replacing? I took the belt off, and the outer ring of the clutch assembly is loose with lots of lateral play, and rough as anything when spun.
BTW is there a website for DIY info on the megane, parts lists, schematics etc, like wot bmw folks have with https://www.bmwinfo.com/?
Thanks!
Mike

Re: Grrr - aircon compressor
is better to swap the entire AC compressor, for the price you can get them on scrap yards its not worth to disassemble the AC, find parts for it, assemble everything...
good luck
good luck
Re: Grrr - aircon compressor
thanks - i think you are right. I will source a second hand one and see what a garage will charge to fit it (don't want to be irresponsible and release r134a into environment).
