renew clutch ??

Hi, I have a 08 megane and was wondering if a high bite point is normal for this car.. its not slipping or crunching but it feels a bit high compared to other cars.... Also how is the car to renew the clutch.. ive read the the engine needs to come out.. is this true ?? or is there another way..
