Hi there,
Just wondered if someone could give me any information - on locking my Renault Megane, it creates an alarm noise at the back of the vehicle that if left, causes the battery to drain overnight. When I first had the car, I managed to live with this problem by not 'double locking' the car...it seemed to be ok if the locking button on key card was pressed just once. But since I had a new key card, it now does this every time the car is locked!! The car is at the garage at the moment and needs a couple of jobs doing for the mot but they cannot seem to help much with this electrical fault.
If someone has any idea what this is or what they need to look at, please let me know as I have been without a car for a few weeks now (waiting for new key card etc) and desperate to get the car back
Thank you

Open the bonnet and hold the pin switch down with your finger and lock the car, see if it still beeps at you.
It's the alarms way of warning you a hatch has not been closed properly. Most common is the bonnet switch not being pressed down far enough.
